Letters and Styles

His enthralling world of colors, coupled with his accurate calligraphic aesthetic level, allowed him to reach the top status of a great style developer and master of Graffiti.

Fame on the streets is the ultimate goal of this game that Nomen plays ever since with his unique colorful mix of dancing letters.

Below a gallery composed by a careful selection of pictures with his favorite letters.

Mural Art

Although the art of Nomen was born with letters the artist felt a great need to expand his art by adding and developing a new approach to figurative faces, usually women, which has been painting since 1994 when he drew his first face.

Nomen was a pioneer in Portugal by painting photo-realism with a spray can. The world of faces and expressions have become a personal stamp to the artist ever since, and is quite evident in his murals and buildings.

His approach towards a human face it to does not have the intention to be solid, with a distinctive brand mold, but always changing in the approach of a new face, utilizing extensively new techniques, materials, and colors ... like as a rebirth in each piece he makes.

Political Murals

Nomen thought that the power of his art could contribute and awake the Portuguese people for a political and social revolution that it was needed at the time.

It was the year 2012, and Portugal was plunged into a deep social crisis, which had begun in 2010. The people were marching on the streets unhappy with their government, which many of them were corrupt and only served the interests of masonic groups, as a result of troika’s policies left Portugal, at that moment, as their hostage.

Furthermore, the contributions and excessive sacrifices made by the taxpayer, lack of investment, unemployment, high interest rates from previous loans, and the lack of hope…

The Portuguese demanded the exit of the government of that time that was being manipulated by countries such as Germany and France.

The so called “Pigs”: Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Spain were the countries with a low contributory weight and with a low European voice and as well to Troika.
